John Burgess

A line of alternating ones & zeros
A line of alternating ones & zeros,
Signals, power grids, schematic wires,
Box, blocks, division, quadrant desires?
All arbitrary mappings ignore true paths
Like the cable that bounces between poles
Outside our bedroom window with its steady
Click-click-click-click as I lie awake
The house dark and count each electron's
Pulse?like some madman listening to
Electricity?hearing what power has to say.

Delightful style. The juxtaposition of electricity and power in all their senses is mentally stimulating.

Hmmmmmm
Very interesting. I liked it but at the same time felt it. It's the way it flowwed. It was nice but kind of creepy at the same time.
